How much fuel is provided with my car?
Due to health and safety reasons we’re unable to keep the tanks in our cars full. However, you’ll have enough fuel to take you to a local fuel station.
What is the admin fee?
We love total transparency so therefore we separate the car price away from our margin (the admin fee). Our cars are offered at the lowest price possible and mostly nearer cost price. To ensure we can offer all our customers the best value we have tailored our administration fee to our customer's individual circumstances. This fee is a compulsory fee and applies to all customers.
Are you cars HPI clear?
Yes. We guarantee our cars have no outstanding finance, and have not been stolen or written off.
Do you negotiate on price?
We want the best for each and every customer, so we work hard with our pricing team. Every week they monitor both our competitor prices, CAP and Glasses prices across the industry so that each car is at the lowest possible price and you won’t need to negotiate. This is why all our prices are fixed.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Ideally it's always best to make an appointment to avoid disappointment due to our very high turnover of cars.
How do you keep your prices so low?
We buy in our cars in bulk and compare thousands of cars every week. Our high-volume turnover and commitment to keeping costs down mean we can pass savings on to our customers. You pay less because our profit margins are much lower.
Do you sell cars to the motor trade?
As our prices are genuinely low we often sell to traders and other dealerships. To ensure our best car prices are available to the public we charge traders an additional £499 to buy directly from the SW Group.
How are your prices so low?
Our car buyers are highly experienced and have all been in the motor industry for many years. They only source the very best and are very particular. Being a Car Supermarket with a vast stock enables us to obtain the best deals, passing the savings onto you.
Can I part exchange my current vehicle against one of yours?
Yes absolutely. You can bring your car to us or complete an on-line form enabling us to arrange an appointment to suit you. Once we have viewed your car our trained staff will be able to give you a valuation. Your cars condition and mileage are determining factors with regards to the valuation.
Do you check your cars thoroughly?
Absolutely, within our unique 4 point guarantee scheme we offer a provenance check, then they undergo a 114 point safety inspection check.
Can I test drive the vehicle before making a decision?
Yes, we actively encourage you to test the car to make sure it is right for you, after all it's a big commitment and we hope you enjoy your car for a long time. Either call us or book an appointment through this website.
Do you provide vehicle finance?
Yes. You can use our on-line calculator to determine your budget, our powerful search engine will return all the cars that meet your specific criteria. Also, visit our Finance page for a full explanation of the different finance options.
Will the car have a full service?
The majority of our cars do have a full service history, although some have a partial history. At the point of sale we may recommend an oil and filter service if needed and we will advise you when the next service is due.
Will the car have an MOT?
Yes all our cars come with a minimum of 6 months MOT.
What will the road tax be for my car?
The Road Tax in the UK depends on the CO2 emissions. For your information we calculate this and display it on the vehicles detail page for each vehicle.
Can I upgrade or extend the warranty?
Yes, our warranty provider has several additional levels of cover, we have negotiated a preferential rate and you are free to upgrade at an additional cost. Please speak to one of our sales staff who will be pleased to provide all the necessary information.
What finance rate will I get?
As a finance broker we work with all the major high street lenders and will get you the best rate possible. All rates are based on credit history and personal circumstances and are subject to status.
What documents do I need to bring with me?
We require a proof of address and either a bank statement, utility bill, council tax bill dated within 90 days and a bank card, unexpired passport or your driving licence.
Can you sort my car tax for me?
Yes absolutely, we offer this service free of charge.
How quickly can I have my car?
We can turn many of our cars around the same day, but you are free to leave it with us longer if this suits you better.
Do you accept credit cards?
Sorry we only accept debit card, bank transfer or cash as methods of payment.
What is fair wear and tear?
We try to be as transparent as possible in providing you with all the information you need to buy one of our cars. If we find a damaged area on the car when we inspect it, we repair it. Some minor imperfections that are commensurate with a car's age and mileage would be considered acceptable.
How do I reserve a vehicle?
You can do this by calling our sales advisors who will charge a fixed £99 fee only to reserve the car for 24 hours. This will not take the car off sale.
Can you deliver my car to me?
Yes we will deliver anywhere in the UK mainland unless there are areas which are not easy to access, but only vehicles which have physically been brought in store in person. Charges apply for all deliveries.
How much do you charge for delivery?
We outsource the work to transport companies or professional trade plate drivers who are fully insured and charge £1.20 per mile.
Can you deliver to my work address?
No the vehicle will only be delivered to the invoice address and valid ID must be provided as a photocopy.
Can I pay for the vehicle when it's delivered?
No. All funds must be cleared into our business account before any vehicle is released.
How can I take a vehicle off sale?
A £500 deposit will take a vehicle off sale. It will then go into our preparation stage ready for collection. This deposit is non-refundable.
Cars need to meet minimum emission standards when travelling in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) or the daily charge must be paid.
Minimum emission standards
Petrol: Euro 4
Diesel: Euro 6
The ULEZ will be enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:
Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001
Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after September 2015
